Today on Twitter, President Donald J. Trump called Hillary Clinton the “worst” and the “biggest loser” of all time. He encouraged her to move on with her life after the 2016 election. America's reaction to her recent book tour proves that most Americans, including Democrats, would agree with the commander-in-chief.
Crooked Hillary Clinton is the worst (and biggest) loser of all time. She just can’t stop, which is so good for the Republican Party. Hillary, get on with your life and give it another try in three years!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 18, 2017
Critics are sure to pounce on President Trump for this tweet, highlighting the fact that the election was over a year ago. But President Trump, once again, is only voicing the thoughts so many Americans seem to have. A recent September Rasmussen poll shows that a majority of Americans want Hillary Clinton to go away.
“Just 30% of Likely U.S. Voters believe Clinton still has a future in public life. Sixty-one percent (61%) say it’s time for her to retire, up from 55% just after she lost the presidential election to Trump last November. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Half (49%) of voters believe Clinton’s continued presence on the national stage is bad for the Democratic Party. Only 21% say her presence is good for her party, while 23%.”
The numbers within her own party are not that much better.
“Just over half (54%) of voters in her party still think Clinton has a future in public life, little changed from November. Only 38% of Democrats believe the former first lady and Obama-era secretary of State is good for their party, though; 28% say she’s bad for Democrats.
“Men believe much more strongly than women than it’s time for Clinton to retire. But even a plurality (42%) of women voters agrees that Clinton’s continued presence on the national stage is bad for the Democratic Party.”
But it is not only American people who feel this way, even elected Democrats bemoan Hillary Clinton’s desire to remain in the public eye. Politico reported the collective dread her colleagues felt when she announced her book tour for her memoir, What Happened?
“Maybe at the worst possible time, as we are fighting some of the most high-stakes policy and institutional battles we may ever see, at a time when we’re trying to bring the party together so we can all move the party forward — stronger, stronger together,” said Rep. Jared Huffman, a Democrat who represents a Northern California district. “She’s got every right to tell her story. Who am I to say she shouldn’t, or how she should tell it? But it is difficult for some of us, even like myself who’ve supported her, to play out all these media cycles about the blame game, and the excuses.”
Even Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) seems to agree with President Trump on this issue.
“I look forward to going to every place where she appears,” Sen. John McCain of Arizona said sarcastically.
McCain pointed out that he didn’t write a book after losing the 2008 presidential race.
“I respect and admire and am a friend of Hillary’s,” he said. “But with these kind of things that happen in life, you’ve got to move on. You’ve got to quickly move on.”
Clinton appears to be doing anything but moving on. When Clinton's book title was first announced, the author of this article could not help but be reminded of the great, albeit raunchy, comedy that is A Mighty Wind. One of the main characters in that mockumentary is the washed-up, former TV personality who happens to manage a popular band in the dying genre of folk music. Mike LaFontaine, played by Fred Willard, basks in the glory of yesteryear. He used to host a hit show ironically called, What Happened?

It seems like Mike LaFontaine, Clinton just cannot stop living in the past. Clinton had trouble connecting with the voters and changing with the times. She simply could not captivate the masses. Much like LaFontaine's show-business efforts, her 2016 campaign ended in disaster. But since we are talking about the past and discussing former attempts at show-business, here is one of Hillary Clinton's more bizarre appearances in the public eye.
Hillary and Bill Clinton Spoof Forrest Gump
She needs to move on to a jail cell.
Yes, please, the old bitty should just go away.
Exactly, hopefully it is coming to that after 30 years of skirting the law. Absolutely outrageous to the nth degree how this career criminal can get away with so much for so long, but it looks like her walls of protection are starting to crumble. All we need now is someone with the gonads to indict her. Out of everything in politics, that has never been indicted nor even PROPERLY investigated annoys me to no end. I live in New York, when she had her rapist husband free those FALN terrorists I was beyond outraged. My father is a retired NYPD cop who was almost killed by one of their bombs.
Hillary needs to move on to prison.
The American people do not like her or her rapist, sexual abuser mate nor her crooked, lying, two faced, stinking, sickening rack of bones she walks in...
What the Clintons have done to Our Country is a total disgrace to the Americans that have given their lives to make this a Free Country for the people that rightfully live here...
Before anyone can run in the ‘RAT’ party, and it will be years before they can remove the stench of the Clintons, the Clintons have to be removed, sent to prison or dead and in this order would be fine with me...
Standing there yesterday saying she stood up for Frankenstein, with pictures of what he did, just proves that she is no less than her lying, rapist, sexual abusing mate...disgusting, all of it!!!
The Democrats will have to kill her if they don’t want her to run again. She is obsessed with becoming President. President Trump was taunting her just in case she was having any doubts about running in 2020. He would trounce her in a rematch.
I can’t believe so many are giving what seems to be a pass to Trump/Sessions for what amounts to playing ‘footsie’ with Hillary.
Indictment - trial - conviction - jail (or something more severe). This is not a game. People have died and/or have their lives ruined forever because of her. Our relationships with foreign governments and foreign policy have been seriously damaged as well.
yet she’s allowed to go on as if she did nothing but lost an election.
The USA cannot be the land of the free; the home of the brave if the rule of law is ignored for a chosen few.
What good is a tax cut if we live in tyranny?
The 0bama and Clinton wings are now two scorpions in a bottle, the stakes of the battle being not only control of the DNC but pure survival. Should Clinton re-establish her ownership (if Brazile is correct that is a precise usage of the word) of the DNC, it is clear that she will run again having forgotten nothing and learned nothing, this time running against, instead of with, the advantage of incumbency. That's not a happy formula. 0bama, again according to Brazile, ran the DNC into bankruptcy chasing a legacy instead of the next election. That will have to be recovered, a war chest filled, and a standard bearer identified, and it won't be Bernie. None of the current suggestions - Warren, Harris, Biden - none of these has generated one whit more enthusiasm than did Yeb! Bush, that is, somewhere between soporific and comatose. Please, please clap.
That's sounding in toto as if the upper hand is still on the wrinkled arm of She Who Must Not Be Named. Whether that's good news for the Republicans or the Democrats, it's damn bad news for the country.
She did remarkably bad in that Time person of the year poll.
She was opposed by something like 60-70%.
Hillary lives for her anger, it makes her feel alive and gives purpose to her pitiful life. She has nothing else if she lets it go.
As Ann Landers once said “ some people are just comfortable in their anger”.
i disagree. We need to be fair.
There are way too many cities and T.V. shows and radio programs she hasn’t appeared on yet, to tell us how she lost.
This may take 2-3 years to complete the circuit.
What I think is really funny is the fact that she chose Donald Trump as the candidate she wanted to run against.
Her people voted in the Republican primaries to make it a reality. They felt they were safe to do that cuz Hillary had it all wrapped up anyways with all her super delegates.
They all thought, "What Republican in their right minds would ever vote for a twice-divorced womanizer?"
And now they can't stop whining that he won.
Tee Hee Hee.
I don’t remember the magazine she was on as ‘madam President’ but wasn’t that just about as egoistic as you could be??? She really thought she was going to be the first female POTUS...I laugh every time I look at her...
I think Opera, Brazil and Michelle are planning on Michelle to run in 2020 to be the first female black POTUS and won’t that just knock Hillary Hag’s bones off then!!!
Not that Michelle will or will win, but oh boy the fireworks!!!
The American people don't want quiet anonymity for Hillary Clinton and these evil criminal elites who believe and act like they are above the law; we want and demand JUSTICE and E Q U A L PROTECTION UNDER THE LAW!
It was Newsweek. That cover was modern example of "Dewey Defeats Truman." I wish someone had Trump hold a copy, like Truman did in 1948.
Thank you...and yes, he should have done that...maybe in 2020 he will...that would be great...
LOCK HER UP! LOCK HER UP! LOCK HER UP! LOCK HER UP!
She keeps proving to the world that she doesn’t have the temperament to be POTUS. Thinks everything is about her. Can’t get over anything, especially herself. Cackles insanely and jokes about people being murdered. Takes bribes. Blames everyone but herself. That’s just what immediately comes to mind, but the list would be as long as all her books combined, and just as boring.
Don’t lock her up. Behead the evil harpy.
If he’d hold her severed, bloody head up alongside it, it would be even better.
