Outgoing establishment RINO Jeff Flake appeared in Mesa, Arizona — the city that in 2014 was rated the “most conservative big city in America,” on Friday to speak at a town hall event.

But the real fireworks came after Flake spoke when he was caught on a hot mic in a conversation with Republican Mesa Mayor John Giles, who was encouraging Flake to run for the presidency in 2020 against “idiot” President Donald Trump “just for fun.”

Any religion is man made and a cult. Hell the catholic religion has bee murderers, child molestors, money swindlers, rapists partaking in acts of debauchery.

This here hasn’t a thing to do with religion. If so we’d point out areas of heavily influenced catholic areas and point out the very same things

We have a temple here in Massachusetts. Its construction caused a lot of controversy.

Not going to argue with you there, you are right.

The Mormons from both parties are pissed with Trump, and are trying to destroy him.

A fact that is often not mentioned, so as distasteful as I find it, I have to bring it up when one attacks.

I wish I were as big an idiot as Trump. That idiot bought his own 757, and that idiot is worth hundreds of millions and that idiot has a smoking hot wife and that idiot has built beautiful properties and that idiot has a family that does not get arrested or end up in rehab......this could take a while because that idiot is a leader who leads and is not a tool of any party nor does he owe anybody for his success and he says what he is thinking not what he thinks you want him to hear......this could take a while

People think Mormons are conservative but Harry Reid “identifies” as Mormon. I don’t get it...

Of course it is a set up.

Mesa is Flake's home turf and they really think they can get Flake elected President.

Flake has been setting himself for a 2020 run at the Presidency for years.

His goal was to let Hillary complete Obama’s destruction of the country and then photogenically ride in on his white horse and save the day wearing his neo Barry Goldwater cowboy hat

Trump just smashed his dream, but he still thinks 2020 is his time so now he is gearing up to run as the sensible centrist and conscience of the Republican Party

It is always interesting to see people state wild assumptions as facts, which you have just done in part of your post.

Flake is an idiot, he and John Giles both know that Flake couldn’t get elected to be a justice of the peace. Giles is actually a good Mayor in a fairly non-political job. Knowing him, which I do, I know he wasn’t serious with that dumb quip which I’m sure he made in jest in the moment and greatly regrets now.

The LDS Church does not tell people who to vote for, ever...

Most LDS people voted for Trump, although many didn’t like his crudeness but recognized that conservatives need a street fighter, not a loser RINO like Flake, or someone like Romney who wasn’t a fighter and who cares too much about what the liberal MSM has to say about him.

To me, Republicans like Flake think everything is pretty much OK, wasn't bad during the Obama administration, and just needs some little adjustments. That's because their lives haven't been affected and hurt like those of so many others in the nation have. They don't get it. They don't understand that the country has been teetering on a precipice, and that so many Americans have felt dispossessed, ridiculed, and unrepresented. They don't understand why people voted for Trump, and if they don't understand this they are out of touch with America and have no business being in public office.

Their stock has fallen to less than zero with me, since 2011.

Aaaand I wondered if that was part of what was going on.

Flake is learning that when the toilet gets flushed and you are in the bowl, things only get worse until you are gone.

Well put. I bet Flake is feeling the current get stronger and stronger as he starts to spin and spiral down, down, down, until he finds himself right where he belongs with the other swamp turds.

I just wish there was a way to get rid of him and McCain sooner rather than later. We need them gone and good solid Christian Conservatives in their place to help MAGA. In AZ I don't think someone like Judge Roy Moore would be as good a fit as he is in AL but rather someone less fire and brimstone but still with Christian values.

Republican Mesa Mayor John Giles, From his bio:

“After serving a church mission to Seoul, Korea, John graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Political Science.”

So we know why this a$$hole is all wee wee’d up over Flake. They are both Mormons.

Yeah, Flake has pissed off so many voters with his Never Trumpism that he couldn't even get elected meter maid on his home turf in Mesa.

Ironic that Matt Salmon, the best House Rep Arizona ever had, following through on his good government pledge to not stay more than two terms in Congress jump started the career of Flake, the kind of Washington entrenched loser that terms limits were intended to prevent.

Looks like Flake thinks he can turn being the most strident anti- Trumper into a nomination in 2020.

Don't much like the anti LDS bias much myself. Some of the best people I have ever known.

“The LDS Church does not tell people who to vote for, ever..”

Well perhaps not directly, but as one who was raised in the Mormon Church, the fact of the matter is that like other religions, Mormons stick together, and they are way, way more homogenous in their support for one another that most religions. Harry Reid is an outlier.
Several years ago I told the Home Teachers they were no longer welcome at our home because of Harry Reid. They told us that the local Ward was probably 95% in favor of his excommunication because he certainly wasn’t living as a “worthy” person. Beyond that, the Mormon Church is all open borders, so they can bring their “Mexican Converts” here without government interference. It’s actually a position that goes against one of their “Articles of Faith” wherein they agree to be subservient to government laws and policies.
