Franken forces Dems to finally confront their own sexual assault scandals
McClatchy ^ | 11/16/17

(FYI: This is mainstream media...)

Democrats called Al Franken’s behavior unacceptable, returned his campaign donations, and hinted that — absent a satisfying explanation in response to a sexual harassment allegation — they’d eventually demand he resign.

Anything less would risk catastrophe for a party that stakes its political reputation on fighting for women. Especially one that is just now, 20 years after the fact, grappling with its unyielding support of Bill Clinton.

This woman had this picture for 20 years. It apparently didn’t bother her that much.

Press charges, lady, or shut up.

He’s a liberal so it’s okay per Washington Post:

I’m a feminist. I study rape culture. And I don’t want Al Franken to resign.

People kept things canned up for a lot longer than 20 years, but this was a matter of 11 years, not 20.

Nice to have showed it around in 2008, though, before Stuart Smalley got “elected” to the Senate, but only on about the third recount, and that only because of a partisan vote canvassing board.

Keith Ellison is the OTHER wannabee Islamist representing the Minnesota delegation.

Will the media be traveling to Colorado to interview Gary Hart?

Gary did not fear the inquiries from media. /s

John Edwards was accepting a ‘parent of the year’ award the night his illegitimate kid was being born.

The media did no investigation of him. Took the National Enquirer to break the story.

Kabuki Theatre.

Faux sackcloth, ashes, and self-flagellation.

When the dust settles and the media has distracted the citizenry with another shiny, Franken will retain his seat.

And the GOP won’t issue a peep.

Really? JFK and Bill Clinton didn't do that but Al Franken did? Give me a break.

Tom Carper of Delaware admittedly hit his first wife. And he allegedly hit his second wife.

“When the dust settles and the media has distracted the citizenry with another shiny, Franken will retain his seat.

Probably true! Because they are fearful that their similar “acts” will be exposed as well. As I posted yesterday, we need a complete “political proctological” exam of all 535 Members of Congress, with a rule in both Houses, that anyone found guilty has to resign. Anyone want to hazard a guess as to how many vacancies that would produce? I’m betting it would be at least 50%. And we can start with a complete disclosure as to who was responsible for the expenditure of the $15 million that has been put out to cover these “errors in judgement!”

Just finish off the table showing the years and amounts out tax dollars were used to payoff the charges with the names of those whose plaintiffs were paid off.

Wanna bet there’s a lot of diarrhea in DC as the Congressional perps contemplate being exposed for their corruption, sexual exploits, taking money under the table, and treason?

Your guess of 50% guilty is probably far too low.

“Your guess of 50% guilty is probably far too low.”

The higher the number, the better! We desperately need a major turnover in the Congress.
If you look at the Senate, the top 13 office holders (all whom are 75 or older) have a total of 239 years of “service” in the Senate and nine of them are Republicans. The total “years of service” for the entire Senate is 943 years, so 13% of the Senators comprise 25% of the “years of service.” Today, the “winner” here is Patrick Leahy who took office at the age of 34 and has been in the Senate for 43 years!
So if you’re looking for someone to blame here, blame the voters for mindlessly re-electing these worthless turds for the past 30 to 40 years!

If Franken resigns, he won’t be a viable candidate for President in 2020. Not that any white male has much chance of being the Democrat nominee in 2020, with the possible exception of Bernie.
