TAMPA — Police and federal agents with rifles checked car trunks, banged on doors and gathered forensic evidence in a Tampa neighborhood Tuesday as they hunted for the killer believed responsible for gunning down four people for no apparent reason in just more than a month.

Residents and police have been on edge since Oct. 9, when 22-year-old Benjamin Mitchell was shot to death. Two days later, 32-year-old Monica Hoffa, was slain. And on Oct. 19, Anthony Naiboa, 20, was killed after taking the wrong bus home from his new job.

All of October's victims were either getting on or off a city bus, or were at a bus stop, when they were shot, police said. It was unclear if Tuesday's victim was near a bus stop.

Today's victim worked at a church, feeding homeless people. Another victim packed hurricane relief supplies, and yet another worked with the deaf population. Previous video showed the perp flipping his smartphone while walking down the street.
You have to believe that everybody should know to have their full attention to their surroundings, and be armed and prepared.
With suspect videos at least 2 weeks old, there’s no way a tall slim black man is getting within a city block of me.
That’s hard evidence, fact based, behavior.

Police arrived within seconds of shots fired, and established a neighborhood perimeter within minutes. They have maintained a strong presence in the area since the last three murders. LEO are quite certain the perp lives in the neighborhood. Hence, they were going door-to-door today.
It’s inevitable that he will be caught, and unless he commits “suicide by cop,” which I hope he does, it will be YEARS and YEARS before justice will be done in his case.

Local news coverage showed LEO teams in full swat gear going door-to-door today. Very tense situation.

It appears the perp ambushes his victims under cover of darkness. From the news coverage, much of the neighborhood is low income, with people relying on bus transit to/from work. Bus service has been rerouted and night service eliminated since the murders started in October.
So much for dinner at Bern’ s on Saturday night....
All help is appreciated, but I see no legal justification for federal ATF in what is obviously a state matter
It’s only a matter of time. I’m hoping his monstrous game will be over soon.
Buses are cancelled: working people are going to have to walk home from further away if no one can give them a ride; it doesn’t sound like a neighborhood that can afford cabs and Uber.
No only that, but the Black man will be added to the list of Blacks unfairly targeted by the justice system.
Shouldn’t the neighbors be calling BLM?
He had plans to get his GED and marry the mother of his youngest child before he got caught up with the wrong people.
