McCain’s buddies saved, to start another war in another place in another day.
From what I gathered from various previous articles and posts, on multiple forums, Syria allowed local Syrian jihadis to evacuate under a peace deal. Any non-Syrian jihadi in country got a death sentence and wasn’t allowed to evacuate.
Sorry if I’m off base here, let me know of other links that say otherwise.
