I can’t imagine a law enforcement official saying anything else- without solid evidence of lying.
Not an employed one anyway.

Exactly! So much for evidence being introduced, before assigning guilt to the accused.

What a ho SJL is, too, for using a Trump sign, as a prop to her irrelevant question.

It is really hard to believe an AG would even comment, let along assuming guilt before evidence/investigation. Assuming Sessions really said that, it would seem he has outed himself and perhaps his leg-humping minions, as both look more and more like swamp creatures with each passing day.

But I can imagine a law enforcement official not getting drawn into speculation, especially since it's not his job to do so.

The problem is he allowed himself to be manipulated. A somewhat alert LEO or attorney would have responded: "I have no basis for determining whether the accusers are lying or are truthful."

This Moore issue is not at all part of any larger political/legal scheme Sessions may be involved with where he is to play a certain passive role so as to not spook certain actors while collecting evidence. Unfortunately, his response to Lee suggests it may be time for retirement.

“I can’t imagine a law enforcement official saying anything else- without solid evidence of lying.”

It doesn’t matter to those deeply and emotionally invested in a narrative.

Sessions answer was proper in the context.

He could have phrased it differently though. He made it sound like he was siding with the accusers.

“I can’t imagine a law enforcement official saying anything else- without solid evidence of lying.”

Such statements, even if true, are unprofessional, especially from the chief law enforcement officer of the US. This can taint opinions coming from such a high level source and respected Alabama native. He should maintain a neutral stance.
