I guess I’ll be one of the people on FR that doesnt find Rhodesia as anything to remotely praise just because it looks like a western nation.
It was a pathetic fun park for one demographic with a micro % of the population, that seriously thought they could rule over millions with no political representation at all, and they were supposed to be cool with that. Please.
This part of the world has been trading one group of deluded idiots for another for 50 years. God knows if this is going to be anything but trade #3.
Back then, people there at least had jobs and food on the table.
I’m not sure that the farmers and others who worked hard to make a bit of civilization and productivity happen - thought they were prancing about a “fun park”.

That 1% managed to make Rhodesia the breadbasket of an entire continent. And I note, completely sarcastically, just how much things have improved since they were removed and the “natives”started running things.

Are you forgetting that many of the soldiers fighting Mugabe’s communists were black, and that the short-lived country of “Zimbabwe Rhodesia” DID include representation for blacks?
My town lost one of the dozen or so Americans who died fighting for Rhodesia; he (and others) thought they were fighting communism, not blacks (they served with blacks).
