Is there a probationary period for 1. first hired, and 2. after every promotion? Because if it’s only when you’re first hired, then you kinda can’t do anything after that.

It’s only the first year after the initial hire. I spent 36 years as a Federal employee, 20+ as a supervisor and believe me over the years I was only able to fire 3 different employees, one during the first year. The other two took a lot of work and documentation!!!!
