If you already own a Keurig product, smashing it makes no sense. That’s money that is already spent.
I’d guess their revenue stream is largely from their K-Cup coffee sales and there are many other companies from whom to buy your K-Cup coffee. I have never purchased Keurig K-Cups because there are so many other better brands. I just purchased my first mail-order coffee from Coffee Town, a small roaster. (of course, I’d probably find they have their own detestable political slants, too).
If you want to protest, don’t buy Keurig coffee.
