Officials in Warsaw have demanded explanations after the German defence minister suggested it was necessary to support the "resistance of the young generation" in Poland.
The Polish defence minister has issued instructions to summon the German defence attaché in Warsaw over the statement, and Polands foreign minister described the remark as an unacceptable attempt by a German politician to meddle in Poland's internal affairs.

Three cheers for Poland and Hungary — not pc.
For now, that is. With the sorry history that Germany has, one can never know for sure. Maybe the Poles should just tell that German dude, that he has until sundown to get his sorry self out of Poland.
Have the “educators” Poland been able to brainwash the Polish youth?
Oh, crap. Don’t tell me that Germany promised to not invade Poland.
Note to Poland: You don’t really have to ask, do you...
When the Germans invade this time, they will have a non-aggression pact with France instead of the Soviet Union.

The Germans calling for a rebellion in Poland???
I have read here and elsewhere the Polish troops helping our best and brightest were so brazen at wacking the bad guys they at times had less than positive things to say about some of our team. Have you seen the various branches of the Polish Military and their hardware? It would be the 2nd stupidest thing Germany has ever done if they did IMHO, I wouldn't mess with the Poles, man are they dumb they are playing with fire...
Poland would have an easier time invading Germany than the other way around.
> The Germans calling for a rebellion in Poland??? <
The German Defense Minister would certainly deny that. But she did say she wanted to support the “resistance”. That’s an odd word choice there.
My panzer comment was (mostly) in jest.
Here’s what I think really will happen. The Germans will interfere with the internal politics of Poland and Hungary (Soros-like interference).
And the Germans will get the EU to slap economic sanctions on the Poles, and on the Hungarians. Tariffs on trade goods, that sort of thing.
Provinces of the EU empire must not be permitted to think for themselves.
Yes, but when will the EU send in the tanks to quell the uprisings?
World War III begins?
> World War III begins? <
The German Defense Minister will probably walk back her comments. But the EU cannot just let Poland (and Hungary) go off the reservation.
I cannot conceive of any situation where a shooting war would break out. But I sure can see the EU putting political and economic pressure on those two nations. For example, the EU could secretly fund “resistance” groups. The German Defense Minister talked about doing that.
And the EU could place all sorts of punitive tariffs on Polish and Hungarian trade goods.
Oh I'd love to see Poland, the Czech Republic, all all the other 12 members of the Three Seas Initiative to tell the EU to go pound sand, we withdraw and we are forming our own alliance, and their are a number of other countries other than Greece they could add as well. If they did, I'd would buy the ETF or Mutual Fund basket of these countries in a heartbeat.
There is a cultural, political, and generational split between “old Poland” — which is resolutely traditional, Catholic, socially conservative, and suspicious of Germany and Russia and other outside influences, and “new Poland” — young, outward looking, urban, and pro-EU. A senior German official though lipping off against Poland is likely to unify both old and new Poland.
>>Maybe the Poles should just tell that German dude...<<
That dude is a dudette.
In fact, Germany, Holland, Norway, Belgium, Sweden, etc. all have female defense ministers. I’m not certain of exactly what countries, but it’s like 5 or 6 of them right there in central Europe.
Then give her till sundown to get out.
I wonder if any of those other defense ministers have ever been in the military?
