Klobuchar: If Moore Wins He Can Be Expelled After an Ethics Committee Investigation
Breitbart ^ | 11/12/2017 | pam key

Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) discussed the report in The Washington Post that accused former state Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct.

She said if Moore were to win in the December 12 U.S. Senate special election, he could be expelled if an ethics committee finds wrongdoing in an investigation.

Klobuchar said, “We may not have much choice on that, but we have choice on something else. That is that you can expel a senator once they are in with two-thirds of the vote after the ethics committee does an investigation.

Thanks for pointing that out, Sen. Klobuchar. Now Republicans have no reason at all not to vote for Roy Moore.

They have some nerve fighting wars to promote Democracy when they themselves are not willing to abide by the will of the people.

Every last Senator has SOMETHING to hide.

If the truth be known they have all committed a felony to get where they are.

I am not a lawyer but I think I heard Judge Napolitano say the other day that the Senate can only expel someone for actions commented while they a senator. From what i can tell all the previous people expelled from the senate were senators at the time they were accused. This would not apply to Moore. Basicly all the senate can do is not to talk to him.

Any involvement with the CFR should be an automatic disqualifier for anyone being called a conservative. Not taking a hardline on issues like CFR affiliation is what has allowed conservatives to get tricked over and over.

Remember that Ted Cruz was for amnesty and increased legal immigration before Trump came on the scene.

If judge Moore wins, the Senate will seat him.

Any action on the Senate’s part would be ex post facto.

Yeah, it would be the first bipartisan action in a decade.

And likely the last one we’ll see in our lifetimes.

And McConnell would likely introduce the resolution to the floor his own self.

*That* was caustic.

And painful.

And unfortunately, likely enough to be true.

As expected, it is getting worse. Judge Jeanine said today that the latest charge is credible. This is the mess and will keep getting worse. Unless the governor cancels the election, we are going to lose a seat in this deep red state.

Perhaps another alternative -— Moore withdraws and the GOP files suit that voters are disenfranchised because they have no real candidate for whom to vote.

What happens if the election is cancelled? Is there a precedent for opening a special election? If he died or was ill, could his wife stand in, like in some elections? If so, cold he be sick?

I saw Judge Janine too. I don’t know what it was about this accuser that was more believable to her. She was over the top with the crying, and the accusations made the judge look like a total predator, not like a soft, slow grooming pedo like the other accusers described.

I’d like to think that this kind of smearing couldn’t happen to a totally innocent guy, and he was deceptive with Hannity. So maybe we conservatives deserve this, because our guys don’t admit to things and get in front of stories. Herman Cain wou”d have gone so much farther had he got in front of his stories before anything ever came out. Like Trump did about his precious marriages.

This is new territory but apparently Moore cannot get off the ballot and a new person cannot get on it. The Gov should have just never held a special election and left Luther Strange keep the seat to which he was appointed until the regular 2020 Senate election. The Dems would have probably sued, however, to force an election.

If there is a write-in effort, I think enough votes would be lost by Moore to allow the RAT to win. What a mess.

This all may be very unfair to Moore. None of us really knows for sure. I heard a news report on the radio tonight with a local resident saying everyone knew he chased after young girls. Until a Senate seat was at stake, however, the RATS didn’t seem to care too much and it wasn’t reported.

Ultimately, all this feeding frenzy may have at least one good result. We are seeing signs of it. The Clintons are wounded and their power has been drained. We may finally see the press reluctantly deciding that what we have said about Clinton sexual assaults and his wife’s actions afterward are true. There was no Vast Right Wing Conspiracy. Just truth tellers.

Yes. It may be time FINALLY for the libs to admit their hero Clintons are if nothing else perv and enabler (though I’ve heard about Hillary and Pedo Island as well). That cheap gilt is flaking off those old sick lilies.

Did you see Juanita tonight on.... I think Ingraham? She was awesome. It pains me what that poor rape victim had to go through, and the public couldn’t believe their golden boy would EVER. Maybe now they will see. What do the gullibles THINK their precious Bill was doing on the Lolita Express and the Island?!

Sexual abuse, either of kids, or rape of innocent women, is not ok and not to be condoned no matter who is committing it. I don’t like to see a good man get railroaded, but there is a lot of smoke around Moore, and he all but openly lied on Hannity Friday. So frustrating.

I’m just sick and tired of our governing bodies getting tied up over this stuff......my gosh everything and everyone’s getting investigated .under assult etc. etc....and the country’s business has come secondary if not third at best...
To say our governing bodies are broken is a complete understatement......maybe it’s true it needs to fall apart and start over again after all.....at least get rid of this two party system we have bickering like kids in a play pen.
