Mmmm....I’ll bet it’s going to be the best of all! And I’ll bet they’ll be happy in the long run that they listened to you. They made more money and no one was unhappy!
Hopefully there are pics to come
Best advice!
I have found peace and a quiet space since I retired.
I do nothing I don’t want to and have no one to tell me I HAVE to do one thing or the other. It’s a no-stress life.
So far, that is....
Amen
I look forward to them. Guaranteed to make me hungry for chili? :)
Its all good.
Venus showed up in full military uniform and served beers
Very regimental LOL
Anywhoo good on her for fitting into the monkey suit all these years later
So, this Veterans Day, if you see a vet sitting by themselves at a restaurant or on a train or shopping at the grocery store alone, take a moment to speak with them. Take them out of their solitary world for a moment. Youll be happy you did.
That's something that should be done ANY day. I do when the opportunity arises in hopes of making THEM happy for at least a few moments.

Since the weather has changed its been Taco soup and beef stew,Potato cheese sausage soup and the like
No ones complaining
I do it all the time
There are reasons I live alone...
Nope, no cat-astrophes this evening. LOL! Just a nice catching up with my brother. I hope I’ve enticed him to come down for a visit by mentioning the pecans are dropping now. LOL! He and his wife love pecans.
Yes, indeedy, those three are VERY handsome!
I am sure I have said this before, but my routine after spec op on a sub was to go far into the desert and decompress
Sit alone for days
Hoo-boy, sounds like fun.
Not.
But I’ve known so many people who couldn’t wait to retire, then couldn’t stand the boredom when they did. LOL!
Think of retirement as being on vacation, permanently.
You might get a little squirrely for a little while,
but that’s what video games are for.
Not many people can wear the uniform they wore years ago! I’ll bet you can...you skinny thing!
Well, it gives you plenty of time to reflect on things. I do hope you have someone to talk to when you do feel like it. :)
I can’t say “all the time” because I don’t get out and about every day. But when I do get out and about, my eyes are always open for the chance. Many vets in the area so it happens often.
When you first go on patrol things get wiggy, girl problems is the major factor, and you gotta get these guys off that thought and into the mission
Then you get your mind in the job and you find a rhythm.
2 weeks back in transit and guys get wiggy again thinking about girls
Oh, and WOOHOO! Ya slipped right in and snagged that 50!
