STORKOW, Germany — On July 26, when President Trump unexpectedly tweeted his plans to ban transgender servicemen and women from the U.S. military, Anastasia Biefang was more than 4,000 miles away from Washington. Still, she could not hide her shock.
“It felt like a smack in the face,” said the 43-year-old German army officer, who is the first transgender person to command a military unit in the country's history.
Biefang joined the German army as a man more than 23 years ago. Two years ago, despite fearing negative repercussions for her career, she came out to her superiors and eventually to her entire unit. Her decision to transition from male to female coincided with an unprecedented openness among top military officials in Germany, the United States and other countries to having transgender troops serve openly.

Of course there is no mention of the costs, down time and lack of readiness, for treatment and surgery, plus continued need for hormones (and mental health treatments) to maintain the "new" persona.
Would Germany be better off paying their fair share of NATO? They have been freeloading off the USA for many years.
Furthermore, given their small and ineffective military contributions, do they have time and money to waste on catering to people with gender confusion, a treatable mental disorder? Will that change if they shape up, and invest more of their GDP to meet their NATO obligations?

Last name was MacKenzie sent to Austria as a Scottish military advisor to the Hapsburg court during Maria Theresa’s time. Married into Austrian lower royalty. During WWI it was his son who developed and commanded The German Death’s Head division which what the emblem is on his hat.

Not to mention the array of drugs they have to take to keep up their unconvincing facade of “femaleness”. Who has respect for a female impersonator who has to have privacy several times a week to put a dialating contraption in his “mangina” to keep it from growing closed? There is no way those guys should even be in the military with all of the ongoing medical and mental maintenance they require. We need to keep them out. For the safety of our troops and our country, we can’t afford their baggage, which I think is Trump’s point.
The German Army has some very good units. It also has a lot of ‘ not really a military unit ‘ like the rest of Western Europe.
The thing is, that new “trans” officer doesn’t look particularly womanly or womanish or girlish or feminine or effeminate and quite possibly isn’t. The same may be true of Roehm and others — who knows? So it’s a lot more confusing than men acting like women, because it would be hard to mistake that guy for a chick.
