...addressing the Chinese leader and his wife as "Uncle" and "Auntie," as is often done in Chinese culture when families are close.

I always liked that form of expression with the children of my Chinese friends. Using the term "Uncle" or "Auntie" is both friendly and yet differential to an elder acquaintance, even when not related. Less formal than saying Mr or Mrs Such-and-Such and far better than calling an elder by their first name alone.

What I find excruciating is that the Washington Post requires a basic digital subscription of $1.00 to access their articles. It ain’t worth it.

An interesting bit of trivia, in the old Amos and Andy radio program (which was recast as a pioneering all-black TV series), Andy’s daughter was named Arabella.

I suppose that’s proof somehow that Ivanka and Jared are racists. /s
