I suspect, if they ever actually ‘out’ the donations, the Dems get most of the outside money. This is still, at least for now, a pink state. And most of the Dem voters here probably wouldn’t have the extra money to donate.

There's nothing wrong with donating money anonymously.

In a free country, you should be able to donate as much money as you want to any legal enterprise, and it's nobody's business except yours.

Political donations should definitely be 100% disclosable. I would even say it wouldn’t be a bad idea to limit donations to your locality. IE City mayor can ONLY receive donations from individuals who live or work in that city, and companies that have a tax nexus in the city. Likewise for county level elections, state, etc. Politicians should only be able to pull $$ from the area they represent.
