“To those who are confused as to where the United States stands, let me be clear: As is their right under our Constitution, the American people have spoken. They have chosen a new president, and he has chosen a new ambassador to the United Nations…The United States opposes this (UN) resolution (condemning the U.S. embargo of Cuba) today in continued solidarity with the Cuban people and in the hope that they will one day be free to choose their own destiny. This assembly (the UN) does not have the power to end the U.S. embargo. It is based in U.S. law, which only the United States Congress can change…The Cuban regime is sending the warped message to the world that the sad state of its economy, the oppression of its people, and the export of its destructive ideology is not its fault. We might stand alone today. But when the day of freedom comes for the Cuban people — and it will come — we will rejoice with them as only a free people can.” (U.S. Amb. Nikki Haley, Nov. 1, 2017.)

Deserves repeating and then more repeating.

This is all well and good.

But too bad this “US Ambassador” didn’t have the brains and/or guts to preserve the Southern Heritage as Governor of the great state of South Carolina.

Irresponsible and shameful. The repercussions are still being fest today.

Cuba can still trade with the rest of the world, and their country is a pisshole? They're driving old '50s and '60s Chevys and Fords, but they could be driving Lexuses or Audis or Bentleys......

We (the U.S.) put the embargo in place because Castro lied to our faces - said they weren't Communist and only wanted to free the Cuban people. Then he stole our businesses.

Cuba could be a vacation paradise and exporter of coffee and tobacco, but, no, the communist ideology is too important (to those in power).

I love this woman! President Trump made an excellent choice.

She has a bright future, with whatever she chooses to do after this posting. But right now, she is defending the U.S. with passion, strength and intelligence.

President Trump: Please kick the UN out of America. They are an enemy to us.

About time. the U.N. has been flipping the U.S. the bird for decades. The U.N. has become sinister.

Don’t know how to excerpt videos, but 0:58 to 1:05 is what the UN is thinking about Nikki Haley’s remarks to the UN.
