“Democrats who said they feared putting a Trump ally on the court that decides many big federal law cases.”

I almost fell out of my chair on this one. This is one of the stupidest and most dishonest statements made by the left in 200 years.

They have been stacking judicial benches with allies for years to the point that they don’t even care if they are determined that way.

Justices Ginsburg, Breyer, Sotomayor and Kagan of the supreme scotus. The ninth circuit is rediculously liberal.

But the main change came during the 21st century for our purposes. When Bush left office there were 100 republican appointees, 65 democratic appointees and 14 vacant positions. When Obama left office there were 75 republican appoints, a loss of 25%, 92 democratic appointees, a gain of 65%, with 12 vacant.

But all is not straight line with Bush. When comparing total appointments, Bush appointed more white females (50) than Carter (32), Ronald Reagan (27) or George H.W. Bush (31), but less than Bill Clinton (83). He appointed more Hispanic females (12) than Clinton (5), but fewer African American females (8 compared to 15) than Clinton, so the overall diversity representation is about the same, or in many cases less than during Clinton’s presidency.

During the Obama administration, more than one-third of the 179 judges on federal appeals courts owe their seat to him. And the senate, under Reid, even had to create a rule called the nuclear action to push republicans aside to vastly remake the courts in their interests..

So much for not taking credit for stacking the judicial system that neither party is supposed to over rule.
