Yup,physically assaulting a recruit...anyone,actually...has been a violation of the UCMJ for years.But we talked about filing a complaint but,when we realized that prosecutors/jurors would believe a combat decorated E-5 (2 tours of Vietnam-Combat infantry Badge) before a bunch of E-1 recruits,we decided not to say anything.
