Jessika Edwards told CNN that she and Devin Kelley worked together at Hollomon Air Force Base in New Mexico from 2010 to 2012. Kelley was released from the military on a bad-conduct discharge in 2014 after serving time for assaulting his wife and stepson.
Edwards said that when the two made contact on Facebook in 2014, Kelley said he had been purchasing dogs through Craigslist and then using them for “target practice.”
While in the Air Force, she said, Kelley was preoccupied with mass murders and made jokes about killing people. ..."
In 2014, the same year he allegedly made the gruesome claim to Edwards, Kelley was cited for cruelty to animals in El Paso County, Colorado.
Multiple witnesses said they saw Kelley beating a husky with his fists before dragging the dog away by the neck, The Denver Post reported.
The county sheriff who responded to the incident noted back then that it seemed like Kelley was underfeeding the dog.
A woman who was his neighbor at the time told The New York Times that she remembers Kelley keeping his dog tied up outside in the sun with no water.
Kelley also had a history of domestic violence. The assaults that resulted in his Air Force discharge included striking his toddler stepson “severely enough that he fractured his skull,” according to the Times.
And the Sutherland Springs massacre occurred after Kelley had sent threatening texts to his mother-in-law, who sometimes attended that church.
Experts say that both cruelty to animals and domestic violence can be predictors of other forms of violence.

Dog abuse is often an indicator of hideous violence. My best friend was murdered and the perp was apprehended after officials found his record of abusing dogs. It happens all the time. My grandfather always said that a man who would kill a dog would kill a man.
NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas - Online records show Devin Patrick Kelley, the Texas church shooter, lived on his parents’ $793,000 estate.
The property, located off of a New Braunfels farm road, spans two rural acres.
The latest tax records for the property indicate its market value is $793,770. Appraisal records show the property is owned by Michael and Rebecca Kelley.
The property has been under the ownership of Kelleys since 1993.
Tax records also show Dilloware LLC operates from the property. According to the Dilloware LLC website, the company sells a recurring billing software. The website lists Kelley’s address as the mailing address.
Yes, that certainly seems to be the case.

Anyone and I mean ANYONE that would abuse and torture animals should get a one way ticket to the asylum never to see the light of day again. These people are defective....like Jeffrey Dahmer, Ted Bundy, the list goes on.
