The obvious flaw in this argument by NR is that we are not refusing to condemn predators. We are refusing to condemn the victim of an obvious smear. Surely someone at National Review still has the intelligence to understand the difference.
That this is a text book smear attempt, is sufficiently obvious that I used a similar fictionalized smear by an antagonist (The New York Times) in a novel published in 1998, as a literary device:
