Father WWII combat veteran, career Army officer, PhD, and university professor after retirement from the service. Both parents buried at Arlington National Cemetery, along with my aunt & uncle (also from Gadsden, WWII combat vet, career Navy) and so many Southerners in national cemeteries everywhere who have fought for and defended this country. My two brothers & I are service academy graduates and veterans. What D-bag doesn’t want to know is Southerners have higher educational levels and serve in the Armed Forces in greater proportion to the population than any region of the country.
