A Navy veteran could not bring himself to accept a community service award from the New Orleans Saints because he is fed up with the national anthem protests.
Navy Commander John Wells (Ret.) was at first "touched, honored and excited" when offered the award before the season started. After seeing the players kneel in front of the flag he has served under, though, Wells said there was "no way" he could accept the award.

Those players are being used by anti-Americans who don't give a flying fig for foot-ball players.
Hey! NFL show some respect and some gratitude for those who gave their lives so you could play ball and lift weights....you are damn lucky to live in a country where you can make such a high salary to spend and live as you choose. Grow up!
Then the NFL (NO Saints) call HIM “divisive” for not accepting the award. The NFL might be as oblivious to their own stupidity as Congress.

i would LOVE to see President Trump invite this vet to the White House now and give the vet a REAL award. let it be the Presidental medal of freedom! or something even better?
