We need to fight now. We need to follow Churchill’s advice. He didn’t try to paint Dunkirk as anything other than a colossal disaster. Then he rallied the troops to FIGHT and NEVER SURRENDER.

We need to wake up and turn this around. We have 1 year. The campaign for 2018 needs to start NOW.

If the Dems are motivated and angry, they can wipe us out in the US Congress

God help us if they put a serious proposal in their platform to forgive student loans. Dems will be crawling over broken glass to get to the polls.

The thing about this race, the Governor cut many deals with Senate Republicans over taxes, etc. He said if they win the Senate, he’s going to renege on the deals, and start the steam roller ...

Trump is pretty much the only Republican in Washington with a set of testicles

The Bushes coming out with their book right before the election admitting one or more of them voted for Democrat Hillary was a betrayal to the Republican Party of epic proportion. Fence sitters reading that could easily think "what difference then does it make?" There was no condemnation of that by Ryan, McConnell, McCain or Graham as they too in all probability likely voted for the Democrat.

My wife and I have both lived in Washington State all of our lives. This is getting to be more and more rare for people in our age group who live here. We have been invaded and it is not pretty. It is not hard to see that this place is headed in the same direction as California. People from the big cities are now ruling the surrounding rural areas with an iron fist.

Our State Supreme Court which is a political body, has made many, many corrupt decisions from “fining” our state legislature over $80 million dollars for “underfunding” schools... to making it illegal to drill a private well in rural areas of the state and denying property owners the ability to build a house on their property. This supposedly is to protect fish.

Never mind that in real inflation adjusted dollars the state is spending two or three times more per student than it did when I was a kid. And never mind that there is no evidence that rural wells in our state have any impact on fish or stream life.

We are ending up with more and more one party states.

At some point we may end up with a Civil War but I fear the red states will just submit.

I don’t think it really matters in Washington state. The courts dictate taxes and spending. They have been throwing out every anti tax initiative in the past 20 years even though they were voter approved. The school districts banded together and sued the state for not providing enough public funding and the courts sided with them so their set to get about $20 billion. Cities and Counties have to replace every culvert on every road to allow for fish passage to placate the tribes, The republicans help push through the massive 11 can’t gas tax to fund 95% of the state DOT needs including billions for floating bridges and the new Seattle tunnels and their massive change orders.

“People from the big cities are now ruling the surrounding rural areas with an iron fist.”

I’d say, aside from there being too much of it in general, this is the biggest problem we have in the way government is structured, moreso even than the states’ rights vs federal thing. States themselves are just getting more broken into city vs rural every year, and it’s two completely different worlds. City folk don’t know life in rural areas, nor do they care. Like you illustrate, what does it bother them to ban rural wells?

Getting to the point where state government need to be broken up into separate city and rural bodies that don’t have jurisdiction over the other.

The GOP Establishment is full of traitors like the Bushes, McConnells, ROneys etc. Its pretty clear who they serve right now and it isn’t America, America’s best interests, the Republican rank and file, etc.

I am finished with them. I will never vote for another RINO ever. They could dig George Washington up from the grave and have HIM ask me and I wouldn’t do it. They are finished to me. Republicrats indeed.
