He's right to quit. He wants a "job", not a "career". A "job" is where you work for someone else and have minimal responsibility, set hours, and low pay. A "career" is something you invest time in, particularly early on to grow your skill set and knowledge and make yourself more valuable; thus, eventually commanding higher pay. With that higher pay comes more responsibility and set hours are out the window, and the opportunity to use all of your allotted vacation days, well, LOL!
This kid is better off working at his local Starbucks and living on cereal and peanut butter sandwiches.
