Yesterday Detroit re-elected Mike Duggan, a white guy who won his first election as a write-in on the ballot.
The city is making quite the comeback.
Detroit doesn’t rule the state like it so often did in past decades.
Many people don’t know this and the dems won’t admit it:
(MI now has a republican president too)
MI has a conservative, republican backed State Supreme Court.
MI has a republican Governor.
MI has a republican Lieutenant Governor.
MI has a republican State Senate.
MI has a republican House of Representatives.
MI has a republican Attorney General.
MI has a republican Secretary of State.
MI has a republican congressional margin by a 2:1 ratio.
There is NO state democrat in office that has been elected state wide.
So there is always hope! (It just may take awhile)
+1
why i love Free Republic: patriots from all across this nation contribute intelligent discourse.
kudos.
I’ve been saying this since Trump won last year.
The future of the republican party is no longer in the unified voting block of the south. The coastal southern states will eventually flip.
The future of conservatism centers on working class voters in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and the upper Midwest.
Trump even came with a very close margin of winning Minnesota.
The Dems aren’t the only ones that can flip states.
