It’s true. The GOP has one path to success — get on the Trump train!

Trump was tweeting his support for Gillespie earlier today. Now he turns on him. He needs to learn that loyalty is a two-way street.

It has nothing to do with Trump. Over the past 20 years, Virginia has shifted from being a red state to a blue state, most likely due to massive increase in the number of fed bureaucrats who call it home, and the DC grifters who leech off the state.
The MSM is still stuck in the old paradigm and doesn’t get that the world has changed.

Sorry, if I wanted to be a lemming, I’d be a (D) voter. Amazing to think there are those around here believe a king, excuse me, a President (THEY support) trumps (excuse the pun) our foundation\Republic.

The ONLY path they should be following consists of: Constitution and rule of law (can’t have one w/o the other).

Trump has his paths\ideas\wants, some good, some WRONG. When he IS wrong, I would hope, not only the People to remind him so, but the Courts and Congress; round-robbin.

Gillispie received a higher percentage of the vote than Trump did in the general.

Taking the Trump love to 11 might have ended up costing the Repubs the delegate seats they are barely hanging onto.

Yup, I agree.

Gillespie ran a terrible race and he was a Never Trumper from the beginning that this lost was due to not embracing Populism.

Who in the world ran his campaign?

I live in the DC metropolitan area. Actually Gillespie did emphasize Trump issues. The problem for him is that a majority of the voters cared more about transportation bottlenecks, schools, health care, and the Enron Ed meme which was advertised constantly.
