The Fed workers in Va tilt so heavily left that most republican candidates are 5 points down from the onset. Time for a hiring freeze and time to break the grip of the union by enacting yearly evaluations of all positions. If employees score below acceptable levels they need to be automatically terminated with a 30 day severance.
Gillespie went out of his way to steer clear of President Trump. As we saw in 2016, most of the candidates who stuck with Trump ended up winning.

He was uninterested. It was like he knew he was gonna lose but he was in it in case a bolt out of the blue changed things. But Gillespie has become energized in this campaign, not just because of the ad that the Latino Victory Fund ran. He’s become energized because the majority of the people that are gonna vote for him or that are inclined to are also Trumpists, and he’s become an entirely different candidate.
