The scoops have been relentless.

The media told us how unfair it was that Trump got 2 scoops if ice cream.

Crime of the century!

What Sherman said about reporters comes to mind.

“Golden Age”

Goebbels Age more like it. A Big Lie every damn day

Their ratings are s&:! and their circulation figures are their lowest.

How golden is that?

The Journo-list collusion on questions and answers was exposed a decade ago.

Of course, that’s not true. Reporters for legitimate news organizations do not make things up.

The New York Times has been caught several times running stories that did indeed prove to be fabricated out of whole cloth. The one I am thinking about happened a decade or more ago. I believe it was supposedly about an addict, but it has been so long ago that I am not really sure what it was really about anymore. But it was proven to be nothing more than a story concocted by the writer. I do believe the person was let go. That would most likely not have been the outcome for fabricating writers these days.

As with many things, the establishment media has cause and effect reversed.

President Trump did not cause distrust of the establishment media.

Distrust of the establishment media caused Trump to be President.

Golden age? Are they going back to the GPS Global fake dossier again?

Like Monty Python said, the Washington Post and NY Times shine out like a shaft of gold when all around is dark.

CBS touts “Real News.” CNN trotted out “Facts First.” And the New York Times offered “The Truth is More Important Than Ever.”

The scoops have been relentless, the digging intense, the results important impotent.

That's more like reality.

The natural disposition is always to believe. It is acquired wisdom and experience only that teach incredulity, and they very seldom teach it enough. The wisest and most cautious of us all frequently gives credit to stories which he himself is afterwards both ashamed and astonished that he could possibly think of believing. - Adam Smith, Theory of Moral Sentiments (1759)
Trump’s message of mistrust skepticism is sinking in
That’s certainly progress.

That sounds like Trump is making an attack...on a Freeper who hates bloggers and idolizes the legacy press.

Word for word it is things we have told Mumbles from time to time.

Damn, Margaret, don’t break your arm patting yourself on the back. Besides which, investigative journalism died during the Bill Clinton years. Now, only conservatives are raw meat for verbal vultures while the investigative function has been taken over by the internet. You showed us your colors, and now we are showing you ours.

Bingo. And lately, the Daily Mail has been breaking US stories before American media does. I think they even have bureaus here now.
