My guess, this would be referring to vaccines made from unborn babies’ cells, or developed through embryonic experimentation.

"make it mandatory for employees and volunteers to get certain vaccines to prevent spreading it to patients"

actually, its to prevent the staff from getting sick from the patients as well....

can't be losing staff to illnesses...

I’m shocked at how naive and uninformed FReepers are. Do you think that Catholic healthcare workers don’t have the potential to be required to violate their conscience in all areas, including the burn ICU? How foolish. ICU nurses are frequently confronted with end-of-life issues including passive and active euthanasia. Operating room nurses face abortion, sterilization, and gender reassignment procedures. Floor nurses and ER nurses can be forced to administer medications they are opposed to, such as abortifacients and hormone therapy for transgenders. Wake up. Our healthcare system has devolved into a cesspool. There are so many things that have little to do with restoring health these days. Instead of criticizing this nurse you’d all be better served by praying for these healthcare providers who are being thrown to the wolves.

I didn’t realize so many abortions were considered an emergency.

Exactly. What constitutes an "emergency abortion"?

Pretty sure Duke’s “no exceptions” policy is a violation of this nurse’s constitutional rights.

Constitutional rights protect us from the government, not us from our employer. She may have a claim under anti-discrimination laws depending on what North Carolina's laws protect.
