Interesting video interview below.  Texan Johnnie Langendorff arrived at the intersection near the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs and witnessed a good Samaritan (neighbor) returning rifle fire with the church shooter Devin Patrick Kelley.

As shooter Kelley attempted to escape the area, together Langendorff and the armed good Samaritan gave chase in Johnnie’s truck.

TEXAS – Summer Caddel said her boyfriend, Johnnie Langendorff, called her moments after the shooting at First Baptist Church and told her that he saw a gunfight between the shooter and a neighbor, who was returning fire.

She might want to keep him. This is what men are supposed to do when they see evil.

I have been to so many places in other countries where if they saw a shooting, every single male in the area would start running the opposite way. They would even run over children and women in their haste to vacate the area.

But the Vegas shooting showed men running toward people to protect them, men covering women and children with their bodies, men dying as they pushed the others toward the exits, putting their own bodies in between the shooter and the women and children.

There is a difference in culture, and I choose to be in this culture. I read a line in a book recently, where the female lead told the male lead he could go leave the dangerous situation and there would be no harm to him. The man answered that if he left, there would be harm, he would die of shame.

That is where I want to be remembered.

Yes, the Daily Mail actually identified him. Stephen Willeford, 55, no prior military experience but a known good shot with a rifle. Reportedly realized the attacker was wearing body armor and shot ‘for the side’ where the trauma plate wasn’t.

While an ISIS probably committed the slaughter in Las Vegas (they claimed credit for Steve Paddock aka Amir abd al amriki), ISIS did not claim credit for this attack. Instead, it was a Leftists athiest, CNN devotee that killed people in a Conservative church. The Leftist/Islamic alliance/nonagression pact has morphed from psychological similarities between the Left and the Muslim terrorists to outright imitation by the Left for their Muslim heroes.

And the attempt to push Leftists gun banning is reminiscent of Joe Stalin having his buddy, Sergie Kirov, killed and then staring his great purge against Russians.

Again, reporters do not understand the meaning of the term "Good Samaritan." In the term, he is specified "Good" because normally Samaritans of the time were considered "bad" and an enemy of the Jews (although "Good" is not in the actual text.)

Jesus told the parable in response to the question “And who is my neighbor?” to show that even an enemy could be a good neighbor if he has the right attitude - in fact, better than supposed friends and authorities. Jesus concludes "Go and do likewise" meaning to help our enemies and be a good neighbor to them even if others did not.

I doubt this heroic neighbor of the church was an "enemy" who defied social enmity to help.
