"cover your ass is merely an expression which he has created over the years, I've always wondered who invented that phrase. I guess it was this guy. Who knew?

And there are dolts out there who set up situations like this to try and trap the cops for their own personal gain.

The state internal affairs investigator should be fired and charges made against him and the officers, strip them of their retirement, throw them in jail.

A state police internal affairs investigator concluded there was no evidence to support an activists claim that three troopers conspired to concoct charges against him during a contentious interaction at a DUI checkpoint in 2015.Who will investigate the CT state police internal investigator?

Who will investigate the CT state police internal investigator? Get Jeff Sessions on it. I hear he's got some time.
To: raybbr
I presume an internal police investigator is selected because of his friendly attitude toward the police—and he’d likely fear for his life, family, and/or reputation if he went against them.
The local prosecutor should really empanel a grand jury for something like this. Internal investigations are generally a farce.

CT state basically has no internal affairs.
I’ve tried. Failed. Left.

In today’s world, its the cell phone camera which numerous people, particularly blacks, use to hopefully catch an officer in some illegal act against the person they are detaining or arresting. Great tool that can serve both sides in an altercation.

99% of CT state police are great, but it’s the 1% that makes them look like thugs. In some of the small towns, the CT state police are the police department. Meet a few officers, great people.

Which wouldnt be possible if cops didnt break rules, violate Civil rights, and lie about it.

Back in the 90s, I lived in a town without a Police Department and the state troopers were great. Like anything else, they will be bad apples around. Those 3 are bad apples.
