I have a leftard niece who works in the State Dept and just yesterday she was raging about positions that are not being filled. And she says that for the ones that are being filled, Trump’s appointees/employees are all idiots who have no idea they’re doing. She Is a typical inbred swamp creature who thinks she’s always the smartest person in the room.

She is single, never been married, wants desperately to be married and have children, and is 41 with no man of any kind in sight. She doesn’t understand that her personality is her primary contraceptive device.

I just smiled and said “Elections have consequences.”

I’m thinking of send her the link to this article, that would really spin her up LMAO.

Stop the presses. Trump said something that sounded egotistical.

lol liberal icons such as virtually every Demoncrap president at least from Woodrow Wilson onwards have conducted their own personal foreign policy working around the State Dept (and military, intel, etc.) whenever it suited them.

FDR practically castrated his Secretary of State, Cordell Hull, and conducted foreign and military policy largely from the White House. One could go on and on about subsequent ‘Rat presidents (not to mention quite a few R. presidents). The main thing the “Foggy Bottom” bureaucracy is good for is padding the behinds and bank accounts of liberals and RINOs.

And I’m suppose to feel sorry for entrenched unaccountable entitled State Department employees?

Nuts!

The deep state does not understand that this is a democratic republic, with elections, elections that have consequences and that they are not the government, they just work for it. They have gotten to the point, and with plenty of experience for many decades, that they think THEY are the government and elected just caretakers with little influence over the course to the government.

Quite Lincolnesque, actually: From the NYT:

President Abraham Lincoln, taking a vote in a cabinet meeting on whether to sign the Emancipation Proclamation. All his cabinet secretaries vote nay, whereupon Lincoln raises his right hand and declares: “The ayes have it!”

My dream is of a place and a time where America will once again be seen as the last best hope of earth.

Trump has a knack of picking a person or two and getting things done through them. State Dept. is good example. Read an article that Tillerson has his own office and staff and that a couple of “Deep State” types run the day to day operations. It may be that Trump is not giving them any new hires or replacements in order to work them to death and then they will quit. Who knows, he’s always 3 - 5 steps of everyone else.

As a strong supporter of President Trump, even I must agree that is a rather bizarre way to state it.

I saw the interview and he made perfect sense. The President is Chief Executive, the CE sets policy, it’s what he was elected to do and it is not just his job it’s his duty.

The fact that the previous four presidents didn’t have the balls to do their duty is irrelevant.
