"Well this is Trump’s fault as all he has to do is call him to the White House and ask for his resignation...immediately.."

Sessions won't resign, ever. If Trump fires him, then the House and Senate swamp creatures are just waiting to impeach Trump. The uniparty is strangling Trump and what is needed is whatever it takes for Sessions to decide he needs to spend more time with his family.

I would wait to judge that. If a spec proc does get appointed and by someone more to the liberal side, it will be better than if it came directly from Sessions. Then again, i don’t see any reason it can’t be done in a straightforward manner without a spec proc unless the tactic is to get a liberal to do it. Pushing out the U-1 info ostensibly through Mueller’s office as has been done renders it much harder for the left to sweep it away. Instead of screaming “witchhunt” MSM is reduced to mumbling.

he attorney general stood up, said he could not discuss the matter because he had recused himself, and walked out of the room, leaving them with a group of Rosenstein staffers “who showed no interest.”<

This is treason. This is a coup d'etat. Trump needs to get serious about these vile creatures.

Why is Rosenstein still in place? Appoint a new Deputy Attorney General. Then fire Sessions.

We knew the US Senate was bad, we just didn’t know how bad. It might be that almost all US Senators were bought and paid for before they were nominated to run for office. I regard AG Sessions as real strict about the law. As far as those who want him to step down? That’s a real bad idea. Until and if the US Senate confirmed a replacement, the Swampthings would be running that swamp.

Sessions needs to fully recuse himself from the AG position and leave. He’s too small for the job.

Right now, he’s got a big title but he’s acting like a small town prick cop hustling relatively small time offenders.

He cant replace Sessions now because he will never get a hardliner AG approved by the feckless Senate.

Actually, if Sessions resigns, he doesn't need approval by the Senate to appoint someone to fill the position. Under the Vacancies Reform Act, 5 U.S.C. §§ 3345-3349d , he can appoint anyone he wants as acting Attorney General. He does not have to wait for a recess. This person will have all the powers of the Attorney General, just not the title. So in effect, he could appoint a hardliner as AG, and he will be acting AG until he has a nominee confirmed by the Senate. There is no time limit on when he has to submit a nominee. He can take as long as he likes - meanwhile he has his hardliner in.

Authority of the President to Name an Acting Attorney General

Why are you siding with Sessions’ treachery, Alberta’s Child?

I’ve tried not to judge in haste.
But it looks to me like Sessions is behaving much like James Comey, preening and displaying his own virtue, and the job is just a venue. “Behold my integrity!”
Too good and pure to do the job.

Impeach? For what exactly? That is a convenient excuse. AG serves at the pleasure of the President in the executive branch and by extension the people; not Congress.

Trump can fire him or seek his resignation without anyone’s approval.

"Gaetz said that when he asked Sessions to appoint a special counsel to investigate the 2010 Uranium One deal and Fusion GPS, the attorney general stood up, said he could not discuss the matter because he had recused himself, and walked out of the room"

But Sessions is really working in secret below the radar, and playing 4D chess. He's gonna spring a trap on Hillary any day now!

No lie. Freepers told me.

Sessions is the Senate’s way of muzzling Trump...The Senate has always been a treacherous bunch...Like some smart man said “if voted mattered they would not let us do it...”

He certainly isn’t showing any leadership or courage. Contrast his behavior with that of the ‘Rats, Holder and Lynch. They would never, ever run off and hide, even though they were the most compromised political hacks around. They stood by Obummer to the bitter end, hanging on like bulldogs and throwing everything that remotely threatened Obama back into the Republican’s faces. Here Trump hands Sessions a tremendously important job and he flubs it. It looks like a case of just not up to snuff for an important job, one that takes fortitude and standing up for what’s right and just. But he can’t do it.
