Congressman Says Jeff Sessions Has Recused Himself on Uranium One Deal

Attorney General Jeff Sessions told a small group of lawmakers in late September he was recused from appointing a special counsel to look into potential corruption surrounding the Uranium One deal and Fusion GPS’s work on the Trump dossier, according to one of the lawmakers present.

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) told Breitbart News on Wednesday that he and other House Judiciary Committee Republicans had met with Sessions at the Justice Department on September 28 in advance of an upcoming committee hearing with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein later this month.

Gaetz said that when he asked Sessions to appoint a special counsel to investigate the 2010 Uranium One deal and Fusion GPS, the attorney general stood up, said he could not discuss the matter because he had recused himself, and walked out of the room, leaving them with a group of Rosenstein staffers “who showed no interest.”

“He said that anything that had to do with 2016 election, or Russia, or the candidates in the 2016 election, fell under the scope of his recusal, and he left the room,” Gaetz said.

Where’s the special prosecutor?

Muel-head is expanding his reach and doing the AG’s job?

Hollywood swamp needs draining and Sessions isn’t cutting it.

It seems that Sessions is either not very courageous or perhaps not very intelligent. He seems content to let the left use the special prosecutor as a political assassin. I am beginning to believe that Sessions is a “shadow government” plant whose primary mission is to protect his swamp masters.

Well this is Trump’s fault as all he has to do is call him to the White House and ask for his resignation...immediately..

IF true, he’s a dumbass and needs to be removed from office. If he can not investigate the Clinton Foundation or Uranium One, he’s not capable of doing the job.

Never pick a Senator to do a mans job. The most overrated and worthless title is a US Senator and what they may become. I will blame President Trump for picking Sessions and then not firing him for his lack of effectiveness.

Jeff Sessions needs to “recuse himself” from the job of Attorney General.

His decision to recuse himself on all matters relating to Billary, Inc. require that he resign; so Trump can appoint someone who needs no such recusal.

What the heck is he doing ? The other guy is an obama man. We will get this straightened out eventually but the morons in the senate need to be woken up first. Let the President find a new AG. So sick of our party stabbing the President in the back. Atleast the dems do it to your face. They are actually more honest than a typical Rino . We already know they are bad , the rinos trick us into voting for them and do nothing or work with the dems .

Sessions is looking more and more like a swamp plant .
He is so compromised and hired Rosenstein , Mueller and Comey plant .
Rosenstein is a Obama - Mueller operative and running the DOJ .
This is a serious situation .
It’s looking like a Uniparty planned set up .

Jay Sekulow or Joe DiGiovanni would be far better choices than Sessions.

In this matter the President is letting himself be stabbed in the back. He can very easily ask for his resignation. This sits squarely at his desk.

The original recusal promise was shockingly stupid. Sessions should have told them to confirm him if they trusted his integrity and reject him otherwise. An Attorney General who cannot be trusted on even one topic should not be trusted with the job.

Guess the next time there is an event and my boss wants a new website spun up in 24 hours, I will recuse myself. If that doesn’t work, I will live the rest of my life as a gay man.
