Given President Donald Trumps well-chronicled feud with the NBAs Golden State Warriors, it doesnt seem the one athlete indeed the one person to be mentioned by name in a key explainer for the new GOP tax plan would be Golden States star player. But lo and behold, Trump nemesis Stephen Curry one of the faces of the NBA makes a cameo.
In a portion of the document addressing concerns about small business taxes, Currys name was invoked to try to assuage fears that high wage earners like the basketball star will be taxed at a higher rate than business owners who may have pass-through money, but are not profiting individually.
If “Death to America” athletes want to pay more taxes, nothing is stopping them from writing an extra check out to irs
It happens here too, probably not quite to that extent. Maybe in Caleeeefornia and New York.
Could be a teachable moment if explained properly.
