The idea that the law makes you buy something is an ‘effing horror story from the Soviet Union.
Imagine sitting on the phone with an insurance company representative who has a completed application in her hands with every piece of information meticulously filled out ... and me sitting there ready to write the check for my first month's premium ... only to have her tell me that I "don't qualify" to sign up for the plan for another three months. WTF? LOL.
I've been getting promotional material from them in the mail, and by e-mail, ever since then -- right around the "open enrollment" period. I tell them not to bother. I won't be enrolling even if I come down with ebola.
