No win- situation here! Dressing as "Moana" is cultural appropriation; dressing up as "Elsa" promotes white supremacy and racism.
How about letting the kids have fun and keeping the leftist bs out of it.

Who here, at this site, living in a middle to upper middle class and predominantly white neighborhood, have not seen carloads of ghettoites coming into their neighborhoods to get a few bagfuls of that sweet white privilege?

DON’T celebrate Halloween—a satanic festival—at all!!!!
Satan LOVES to invent new wrinkles on his favorite festival, including teaching about “white privilege” and getting parents to shame their children! After all, he wants control over our children!! PHOOEY to that!!!!

I am sure my wife and I will see white Moanas and black and hispanic Elsas all nights, if we even recognize their characters. Maybe in Berkely the people giving out candy will penalize kids for cultural appropriation and excessive “whiteness”, but here in Texas, no one will care. If anything, a white kid who wants to dress up as Moana is showing color-blind she really is. My little blonde grand-niece loves Moana and I would not be surprised to hear that she dressed up as the character.

How about taking a picture of yourself and dressing your kid that same exact way.
Then add a patch across the back of their shirt that says "Happy Hills Psychiatric Hospital.
Because you just dressed your kid up like a full blown nutcase.

If you want you could dress up as someone from one of your cultures, you could be a tango dancer from Argentina
(or as Che Guevara!).And there you go. Walk on eggs because you might offend a Polynesian (on the outside chance you might run into one) by dressing as a Polynesian cartoon character, but dress as a real-life murderer and tyrant without any qualms.
