America’s economy defied the impact of two massive hurricanes to record a 3 percent growth in the third quarter of 2017. As a candidate, President Donald Trump repeatedly said he wanted to achieve growth of 3 percent or higher.

Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said the GDP report “proves that President Trump’s bold agenda is steadily overcoming the dismal economy inherited from the previous administration. … And as the president’s tax cut plan is implemented our entire economy will continue to come roaring back,” according to The Associated Press.

Also despite a sizable shrinkage in government employment.

The Trump train is rolling along nicely.

And this is primarily the result of retiring job killing regulations. Think what can happen once bad laws on the books are repealed and replaced.

You're right to chastise me for using the left's language.

Sometimes I forget to shake off the indoctrination. It's insidious.

You will recall that in 2012 Barack Obama lamented the possibility that Republicans would win the presidency and claim the credit for the great economic boom he had laid the foundation for. The expectation was that starting in 2013, things would take off in a fabulous way and whoever occupied the White House would become the recipient of the undying gratitude of the American voter.

He won re-election that year and eagerly proceeded to drive our economy further into the toilet. In spite of that, there are some among us who still give him insanely high job approval numbers and it should come as a shock to no one that many will deem the current uptick the direct result of Obama's stewardship.

Considering that they changed the scale of tropical storms/hurricanes five years ago so what used to be a tropical storm is now a Cat one, a Cat two is now a Cat three...You know, this is only so when we have an old Cat 4 they can tout it as an “unprecedented” Cat 5 or 6 and scream like piglets “EEEE—Glo-Bull Warming! EEEE—Because! Trump! EEEE!” Sigh...

They've even infected the comic strips with that B/S. I swat 'em down every chance I get.

Huh?

Case in point (one of many). This one under the "Dilbert" strip 10/29:
"kingdiamond Mbp777 • 16 hours ago Pelosi is bad for the Democrats you wont get that argument from me I also agreed that there is both good and bad in Obamacare but your party has failed to live up to their promises and you can expect a house cleaning coming in 2018.
Hell his own party is walking away from him in droves Clinton was a bad candidate no doubt about that but Trump has done literally nothing in 10 months outside of immigration so far he is a failure as POTUS and dont try to speak up about his job creations because most of the new jobs came from programs put in place by the previous administration.

"most of the new jobs came from programs put in place by the previous administration ."
We'll be hearing that for the next seven years. Crediting obama for all the good things is the current meme, now that the Russian thingy has blown up. The economy stumbled about for eight years and now that he's gone, suddenly all his schemes are working? Oh Please.
Businesses sat on its hands during the obama debacle, not knowing when he would make the next anti-business move. When Donald Trump became president, they knew things would get better and started investing/hiring again."

I know what you are saying about delayed reaction. If the economy is bad, blame it on the past Rep. administration. If a Rep. gets in and the economy is good, the Dems take credit from the past 8 disastrous years. My ‘Huh” was from the B.C. Comic. What was your point? (even though it was Humorous).

I though you were wondering what the comic strip had to do with my statement that they were politicizing even them.
