... paid Fusion GPS to continue researching Trump after a Republican donor who originally funded the research pulled out in April 2016.

Oh, so now it's being depicted as an ongoing academic exercise with Fusion GPS seeking funding like some sort of university research project. BS. Just as much BS as saying the Clingon campaign somehow just magically "picked up" Republican opposition research. No, they don't just go about handing off paid research, the Republican gave permission to the Clinton campaign to use it.

Why so much verbal subterfuge trying to protect the Republicans involved in this sham that's being used to try to nullify a Presidential election?

Indeed, they use the nice word “research” for smear, vilification, character assassination, dirty tricking.

Where is the evidence permission was given? Why would the company need to even seek permission? It’s not as if the information was exclusive to the client.
