One can live his or her life saying they know or believe there is no God but at the same time behave nobly, charitably, and with great empathy towards others. If there is a righteous God who rewards the just and punishes the unjust, God should then favorably look upon that person regardless of his or her philosophical unbelief....

Similarly, there’s no eternal benefit to calling oneself a “Christian” if one lacks genuine love, charity, empathy, and compassion towards others. God does not care what you think; he cares what you do.

Hear, Hear.

What then? Are we any better? Not at all. For we have already made the charge that Jews and Greeks alike are all under sin. As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one.. Romans 3:9-10

For all of us have become like one who is unclean, And all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment; And all of us wither like a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, take us away. Isaiah 64:6

And this righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no distinction, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Romans 3:22-24

If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.… 1 John 1:8,9
