I read about a lady from Europe that had come to the United States expressly to be judged critically ill so she could demand a kidney here. If my memory serves here, she was allowed to jump the line to get immediate care.

It's heartbreaking that a 10 year old is involved in this, but it also begs the question of why a 10 year-old child has to leave her country of birth so that her parents can find opportunities. Again, the Mexican government is the one that is failing their own citizens. There is too much corruption in Mexico, and this is a big reason why this country of smart and industrious people has not been able to promote the creation of opportunities for their own hard-working citizens. Emigration to the US, either legal or illegal, is the safety valve that Mexico depends on in order to prevent the Mexican government from getting the blame. It's sad.

Federal agents allowed the ambulance to proceed so what's the story here? Mexico now has socialized health care. She is best cared for in her home country where it is free.
