There ya go. Capitol (capital?) idea. Now, if we can just get rappers to follow suit and lead by example by disarming themselves, NFL-player-related and rapper-related gun crimes should nosedive.

Doug Baldwin, Seattle Seahawks has a foundation or whatever that raises money for cops to visit schools, he shows up with some Seahawks, and then I think meetings with various community members, etc.
The idea being to foster decent relationships between the community and the police. A relationship that may prevent crime, and to help investigate crimes. If more and more people (teens I think is the main outreach) can be shown that the cops aren’t their enemy, they may be more willing to help that to just shut up. Back in the old days I suppose that was fostered by the cop walking his beat.
Baldwin’s dad was a life-long cop.
Now - if his organization starts calling for more Gun Control laws.....
BTW - interesting that a bunch of blacks in California are calling for more gun control. Years ago California started in with the gun laws after the Black Panthers would do their marches with rifles and shotguns, standing on the capitol steps, etc.
It was Governor Reagan at the time that called for gun laws - no reasonable reason why people should be able to walk down Main Street carrying a firearm.
