Did it without wealth redistribution. I remind my kids that though they don’t remiember those days, they were real.

It's not the government's job to encourage people to breed.

Maybe not in the way you say it, but it is the government's interest to see stable, healthy families who produce stable productive citizens. How else does society continue? It should not be in the government's interest to support abortion or single parent families, etc, because they eventually destroy a stable society.

That is why there have been so many people over the history of our country who have hated the Democrat party. They want these unstable families and relationships because they get power from those people.

OK - just accept the consequences of that policy. The government is already giving workers’ money to idle people to breed; if you would stop that maybe more workers could do so. Now many Americans only provide for other peoples’ offspring - while providing for pets themselves.

As if this privileged, “look at me” heiress has the least idea of what average Americans in this country want and need.

No, she’s feeling guilty that her wealthy friends in NYC who are merely millionaires, not billionaires, can’t lead her fantasy life. At originally designed, she wanted taxpayers to pay for any and every childcare expense that her pals could think up for themselves, in full, for incomes up to $300K a year.

That’s right. That was her idea of a unicorn in every parental pot.

She is driven by the thought that all women, including mothers of young children, should be in the formal workforce. That somehow that is better for children and their families because she doesn’t want to care for her own preschool children full-time.

But of course as always, the more you subsidize something like that, the harder it is for Americans to manage on their own, without the subsidies to hand more of their lives over to government.

Disgusting!

"Your thinking is destroying the traditional family"

Not my thinking LBJ's did. I see what she is trying to do might be a bridge away from the fuster-cluck that man imparted upon our great nation in so many ways, this arena was just one. That's all.....

That’s not a bridge, that’s perpetuating the most destructive policies in American history with more wealth redistribution... and more single parent homes.

I'm one them; no kids, nor am I likely to ever have them...and I do have a cat.

I have no desire to help support other people's children, not that I have a choice in the matter.

That is what I don’t like about Ivanka. She doesn’t understand what it takes to raise adults who are strong and independent Americans like her fathers, ready to take on the challenges of whatever gets thrown at them. It takes parent(s) being there almost every second. It takes one person (usually the mom) BEING THE BABY’S security, 100% full adoring love, with baby being the center of the universe, and slowly parents and slowly finding his place in the world as a beloved integral part of it. So can a young child become strong in himself, courageous, good, just.

She spends very little time with her children, even the babies. Her kids are too young to see the core damage that will do. She has reduced their parents’ influence to a tiny percentage of their hearts. Their main caregiver will have a much greater founding influence on them.

Agreed totally.

She sees more mothers in the workplace and more kids in some kind of professional childcare as an unadulterated public good that our government should be spending US taxpayer money on worldwide.

Terrible!

I completely understand; at the very least you have a vote. The problem for conservatives is that those other peoples’ children grow up and vote themselves part of the next generation’s income as well.
