If India is ever going to get serious about countering China, it’s going to have to de-ossify its weapons procurement process and move rapidly to acquire proven weaponry from the US, not nice-in-theory planes from European nations which haven’t seen any conflict since the last days of WWII.
I was here at the Imperial hotel in Delhi (on business trip), and the Indian Defense Department was holding an RFP overview. Talk about lobbyists, arms dealers, government reps...it was like being at an arms bazaar...awsome to witness.
