There is something that confuses me about this. Why would the FBI hire this guy to work undercover if they were part of this whole sordid affair? The FBI seems to be involved in this - I don’t understand why they’d want someone working undercover to discover what they knew full well they were doing.

I wouldn’t bet on it. When have they EVER been held accountable on ANYTHING other than the Bill/Monica perjury thing?
