Conservatives say no to immigration in spending bill

House conservatives are warning Speaker Paul Ryan and Republican leaders not to add deportation protections for millions of young immigrants living here illegally to a year-end spending bill to keep the government open.

President Donald Trump is phasing out the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, but gave Congress six months to act before recipients’ work permits begin to expire.

It’s often easier for congressional leaders to get legislation passed as part of must-pass spending bills rather than as a stand-alone measure. Rep. Mark Walker, the chairman of the Republican Study Committee, said just such a scenario was broached by a colleague when Ryan met with the group’s leaders on Tuesday.

Walker said that if the scenario discussed became a reality, “I know the RSC would have a problem with that.”

At the White House, Trump also was asked about the prospects of extending the program as part of a budget deal in December.

Ryan has been itching to jam some kind of amnesty through since we short-circuited their plans to do it in June of 2014 by Cantorizing the weasel Eric Cantor.

Come on, people, you have to get rid of these weasels who are more concerned about fraudulently documented foreigners than they are about the citizens.

This is a biggie.

I think the Freedom Conference is going to have to ally with some Dems on totally different issues to block this stupid budget unless Ru Paul caves.

If Ryan exposed himself anymore he’d get arrested.

He is a lying weasel. We have to get rid of the lying weasels.

They are calling it a budget but it is really another Omnibus Spending bill, or Crimenibus spending bill to be more accurate. They stuff all their crimes into one must pass bill and pass it at Christmas when not enough are paying attention.
We have not had an actual budget since 2008.

“House conservatives are warning...Ryan...”
****************************************
I’d like certain FReepers who never tire of badmouthing our nominee for US Senate from Alabama (Roy Moore), Kelli Ward (Arizona conservative who has driven RINO Flake out of running for re-election) and other conservatives to PLEASE NOTE THE SECOND WORD OF THIS ARTICLE.

That’s right, it’s “conservative”. ... and it’s NOT a bad word. And they are representing and fighting for US!

If Ryan exposed himself anymore he’d get arrested.

He may have to change his name to Carlos Danger.

Congressional Republicans were using this tactic to force Trump to sign the required spending bill, with the DACA language attached, to take away Trump’s bargaining chip for the Wall.

That’s how low Republicans are.

There is no greater filth in DC.

Lot of votes in the RSC.
If DACA is combined with E-Verify, wall and enforcement spending then it could be included.
Would love to see stand alone bills though. That’d drain the swamp on both sides.

He’s not a RINO. “repub in ame only”. He’s what Republicans are all about. He’s a real Republican. The GOP establishment wants open boarders. The “RINOs” are the ones who want a wall, because while they call themselves a Republicans, they’re not with the party’s program
