In fact, in stark contrast to refusing to make laws to protect citizens’ constitutionally enumerated rights, career lawmakers have been successfully exploiting low-information voters in the following way.
Corrupt lawmakers have been exploiting voters by promising them politically correct civil rights laws, laws that Congress cannot constitutionally justify, low-information citizens probably not understanding that their misguided votes are helping to unconstitutionally expand the already unconstitutionally big federal government’s powers.

Patriots are also reminded that the 2016 elections are arguably not over yet, patriots needing to finish the job that they started when they elected Pres. Trump.
More specifically, patriots need to make sure that there are plenty of state sovereignty-respecting, Trump-supporting patriot candidates on the primary ballots for the 2018 elections, and then pink-slip Trump-hating career lawmakers by sending patriot candidate lawmakers to DC on election day.
In a just world, and without a Mr. McGoo AG, the DoJ would be on campuses pressing civil rights charges.
