Felix Hausdorff, one of the greatest mathematicians of the 20th Century, murdered(*) because his mathematical writings were deemed -- by German academics, no less -- as "non-German."
Think this can't happen here? Here's one of the executioners in waiting.
(*) Actually, committed suicide along with his wife and sister-in-law rather than obey an order to move to Endenich Camp. He had no illusions about what would happen there. RIP.
