One thing about long-term oligarchies: exceptional people can turn out to have fairly average kids. So what to do when your next generation is not that special, and there are lots of really smart and ambitious kids coming out of the middle class and working classes?

And now you understand why the elites have been so busy wrecking the educational opportunities of the middle class kids, and making sure that any who go to college will be too much in debt to be able to start a business to compete with the elites.
