All the designs are purely utilitarian:
None are declarative.
None state a clear break with past negligence.
We need periodic TURRETS, a bit like Israel’s wall.
THEY appear serious, and THEIR wall looks it.
Our designs appear to apologize, just a little.
So in other words, you don’t care if they get the job done (which is the point). You just want to make a statement even if it isnt really a practical for the task or environment?
I’m looking for what will keep people from illegally crossing it, not to scratch some visual itch.
